If you have an Radio Teleswitch (RTS) electricity meter in your home, you need to take action.

These meters are being phased out this year and will stop working properly.

  • Melton Mowbray has officially submitted its Expression of Interest for UK Town of Culture 2028!

In the heart of England, Melton has always been a meeting place. We love to host. From farm to fork, land to table, and people to culture - this is who we are.

    • World‑famous food heritage
    • 800 years of royal, military & sporting history
    • A town known for creativity, celebration… and yes, the place that literally painted the town red in 1837

This submission celebrates who we are and sets out how, as UK Town of Culture, Melton Mowbray would bring communities together around a shared cultural table. Rooted in heritage, shaped by innovation, and open to all.
