Earlier bin collections this week

This week, we are going to start bin collections earlier than normal. This helps our crews work safely during the high temperatures.

If your collection is due Tuesday 23 June - Friday 26 June please put your bins out the night before or by 6am.

This does not effect collections on Monday 22 June.

Melton Mowbray has officially submitted its Expression of Interest for UK Town of Culture 2028!

This submission celebrates who we are and sets out how, as UK Town of Culture, Melton Mowbray would bring communities together around a shared cultural table. Rooted in heritage, shaped by innovation, and open to all.

This is the first step in the application process and we will hear if we are through to the next round in the coming months.

Leader announces new Cabinet

Councillor Ronan Browne, newly elected Leader of the Council, has announced his cabinet.

The new Cabinet will provide leadership and set the strategic direction for the council - working with other councillors, officers and partners to promote the interests of Melton and deliver for our communities.
