Anti-bribery policy

The Bribery Act 2010 became law on 1 July 2011 and was enacted to enable robust action to be taken against such activity.

We are committed to protecting the public purse and the services it provides from being abused. We have a zero-tolerance approach towards bribery and promote the prevention, deterrence and detection of bribery.

Gifts and Hospitality policy

As part of ensuring we prevent, detect and report bribery in all its forms, we also have a Gifts and Hospitality policy for our employees, Councillors and co-opted members.

Gifts, hospitality and sponsorship, wrongly accepted, by our employees or Councillors can amount to or be construed as bribery within the meaning of the Bribery Act 2010.
