Business Rate Multipliers
The multiplier is used when calculating your Business Rates bill. It indicates the percentage, or pence in the pound, of the rateable value that you will pay.
Multipliers for 2025/26
Small Business Multiplier 49.9p (0.499), Higher Business Multiplier 55.5p (0.555)
Changes to Business Rates in 2026/27
From April 2026, there will be changes to business rates. These changes include the phasing out of retail discount and new lower multipliers for Retails, Hospitality and Leisure (RHL) properties.
