    A new Mayor for the borough has been elected following the annual meeting of the Council on Thursday 15 May 2025. The Council appointed Councillor Siggy Atherton as the Mayor for the coming year, who announced that the Mayor’s Charities would be Pepper’s A Safe Place, and Melton Mencap.
