Apply to work at an election

We are always looking to recruit staff to assist at the elections and anyone who is over the age of 18 can apply. If you are interested, please read the relevant job description and person specifications available in the download panel.

Duties include:

Poll clerk - election day: 6.15am - 10pm, plus training beforehand

Presiding officer - election day: 6.15am - 10pm, plus training session beforehand

Counting assistants - during the day or overnight, depending on the election

Polling staff cannot be employed if they are related to a prospective candidate or have worked on a candidate's behalf during an election campaign.
