We have a number of rooms available for hire.

The Civic Suite

The Civic Suite provides excellent facilities for business meetings, training, weddings and events located at out modern Parkside Council Offices in Melton Mowbray.

Ferneley Room

Capacity 20 – 40 depending on layout.

This room can be booked Monday to Thursday but use of this room on a Friday or Saturday is reserved exclusively for the registrar. Rooms will be made available for booking 16 days before if it is no longer required by the registrar.

The Ferneley room is free to Community groups from 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, if available.

Available equipment:

  • A TV on a mobile stand measuring 74 inches (diagonally) which can be connected to a laptop via a HDMI cable
  • A Meeting Owl 3 (360 camera, microphone and speaker)
  • Air conditioning 
  • Water cooler 
Civic Suite 1

Suite 1 – Capacity 28 – 60 depending on layout.

This room room can be booked Monday to Friday dependent on availability.

Available equipment:

  • Projector and screen which can be connected to a laptop via a HDMI cable
  • Microphones
  • Air conditioning
  • Induction loop
  • Water cooler

 

Civic Suite 2

Suite 2 – Capacity 24 – 50 depending on layout.

This room room can be booked Monday to Friday dependent on availability.

Available equipment:

  • Projector and screen which can be connected to a laptop via a HDMI cable
  • Microphones
  • Air conditioning
  • Water Cooler
Combining rooms

Our rooms can be opened up for larger capacity groups.

We can combine Civic Suite 1 and 2, which can accommodate 60 - 110 or we can combine all three rooms, which can accommodate 78 - 150.

Other rooms to hire

Interview Rooms

We have two interview rooms available for hire:

  • Interview room 1 has a capacity of 3
  • Interview room 2 has a capacity of 3.

All of these rooms are equipped with a panic alarm and CCTV.

Egerton Rooms

We have two Egerton rooms available for hire:

  • Egerton 1 has a maximum capacity of 8 but can be extended into Egerton 2 to increase the capacity to 16.
  • Egerton 2 has a maximum capacity of 8 but can be extended into Egerton 1 to increase the capacity to 16.

All of these rooms are equipped with a panic alarm and CCTV.

All figures are quoted excluding VAT which will be charged at the appropriate rate.

A Party event in the Combined Suite of all three rooms from 10am to Midnight is £900 

Service provided for the set fees

  • Caretaker opening and closing, setting up the room as requested, setting of the air handling unit and electrical equipment to a reasonable standard and standard cleaning
  • Refreshments of tea and coffee and water available upon request for weekday bookings;
    Full day – 3 servings
    Half day – 2 servings
  • Flip charts, paper and pens available on request

Wedding Registrar Charges

Please note that the hire fees shown do not include the registrar fees, these are a separately administered charge by Leicestershire County Council. Further details can be obtained from the registrars by e-mail registration@leics.gov or telephone 0116 3056565.

Arrangements for Meeting and Greeting delegates

You are responsible for your guests/delegates for the period of the booking and therefore must;

  • Arrange meet and greet service within your own organisation
  • Maintain a list of all delegates actually attending
  • ensure your delegates leave the building at the end of the event

The reception doors do not open until 9am. If you would like your meeting to start before 9am then please highlight this at the time of booking.

Car Parking

The Parkside car park is not available to meeting attendees during office hours however one space may be reserved for the meeting organiser/ trainer 

The council has a car park of 74 places that can be used for free by meeting attendees after office hours from Monday to Saturday after 6pm. A pay and display car park is situated a short walk from Parkside on Burton Street for use during office hours.

Pre-paid parking permits for your guests attending the event are available at a cost of £5.40 per permit.
