Bold vision for future of local council structures submitted to Government

A bold vision which puts people and places at the heart of future council structures in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland has been submitted to Government. (Friday 21 March 2025) The seven district and borough councils of Leicestershire and Rutland County Council have worked closely together to create the shared vision which is built on a foundation of collaboration, evidence and engagement.

Melton Borough Council invests in its Town Centre

Melton Borough Council as part of the UK Shared Prosperity fund has allocated funding to initiatives that aim to boost and support Melton Mowbray Town Centre. A total sum of around £140,000 across three projects has been awarded to both the Melton Mowbray Town Estate and Melton BID, who operate within the town centre and work with both local businesses and market traders.
