If you are on Universal Credit remember to update your journal in line with any rent increases that took place on 7 April 2025.
Estate walks
As part of our ongoing commitment to listening to our tenants, leaseholders and improving housing services, we'll be carrying out estate walks (also called estate inspections).
These walks are a chance for housing staff, residents, councillors and partners to come together, look around the estate and identify things that need attention such as litter, vandalism, broken lights, repairs or anti-social behaviour.
They also give us a chance to hear your views and use your feedback to make improvements to your communities and the services we deliver.
Before each walk, we'll send information to tenants and leaseholders by post (or their preferred method of communication) and share the details on our Facebook page.
Why are estate walks important?
- They help to ensure your communities are kept clean, safe and well-maintained.
- They allow us to track and monitor any unresolved repairs or maintenance.
- They empower residents to contribute towards improvements.
- They encourage a problem-solving approach between residents and housing teams to resolve local issues.
What will we do with your feedback
Any issues identified are recorded and referred to the appropriate teams or agencies for their attention.
We use what you tell us to create an action plan for the estate. After each estate walk, we'll share the result with you either by letter or your preferred way of communication. We'll also update the website with our findings.
