Repairs and Voids Manager
Purpose of the job
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking and enthusiastic individual to lead our Repairs and Voids Team.
This role reports directly to the Housing Asset Manager and is part of our dynamic Housing Asset Leadership Team. The role oversees the delivery of our repair and void function, including the contract management of our key external contractors.
You will lead and deliver a customer focussed and high performing repair and void service for our tenants and their homes. At a time of change for the sector, you will be our go to colleague, supported by a team of 6, for delivery on all day-to-day repairs including our response to damp and mould and disrepair.
In this role and across our housing services, no two days are the same! The team has implemented major changes over the last few years, including software updates, process reviews and contract amendments. We need someone to continue that work to improve the service that we offer to our tenants. As a landlord, we take our commitments to our residents seriously and we are focussed on continuing to strengthen and improve what we do, and how we do it.
About You
You will have significant experience in the sector, working for a landlord with a previous track record of delivering a quality repairs and voids service. This will include expertise in contract management from the specification development stage all the way through to delivery and contract oversight.
You will have experience of leading a team of surveyors and administrators to deliver an enviable, tenant focussed, market leading service. With a large workload, you will be able to prioritise, delegate and have a flexible attitude towards your work. You will have demonstrable experience of resolving complex repairs and void cases.
A thorough working knowledge of Housing Management Systems and the Microsoft Office Suite of applications is key.
