We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to be part of our Safer Communities team. The post holder will be responsible for addressing and tackling Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Environmental Crime within the Melton Borough, ensuring effective communication, support and assistance to our residents and stakeholders.   
Responsible for managing a case load of ASB and Environmental Crime cases up to and including taking legal action whilst ensuring a victim-centred approach.

Working closely with our internal and external partners, ensuring a multiagency approach.  
To participate in the management and development of community safety work and contribute towards the delivery of the Safer Melton Partnerships (SMP) objectives.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate that they can manage a portfolio of complex cases with minimum supervision. They must be able to use their own initiative with the ability to think on their feet, negotiate solutions through mediation and provide a proactive response to emerging issues using a combination of their skills and the relevant legislative powers available to them.

About You

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate that they can manage a portfolio of complex cases with minimum supervision. A thorough working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications is key and you will have an excellent working knowledge of excel and databases and be able to produce detailed reports as well as be able to maintain and update   electronic information systems in accordance with data protection regulations. A working knowledge and understanding of community safety issues is highly desirable
