Litter picking in the community
You can volunteer to litter pick in Melton Borough.
By becoming a volunteer litter picker, you can help make the borough a cleaner and more attractive place to live, work, and visit.
You can volunteer as much or little as you are able to, and you can do this independently or join the local wombles group - Melton Matters Wombles.
Any time you can give to help keep your local area tidy and litter-free is hugely appreciated by Melton Borough Council and the community.
Together, we can create a cleaner, greener Melton.
How to volunteer
You can independently run a litter pick, or you can join the Melton Matters Wombles.
If you pick litter in the borough we can collect your bags for you. Please leave the bags in a sensible location, making sure they are a significant distance from any road, out the way of pedestrians and securely sealed. Alternatively, you can take the rubbish home and dispose of it in your own black bin.
