Bulky item collections scheduled for Monday 19 September will now take place on Wednesday 21 September. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.  

Missed bin collection

Before reporting a missed bin collection, please make sure that you have read our privacy notice.

The process

Our collection crews empty bins up until 5pm. If your bin is not emptied by this time, it is possible it has been missed.

Please check your calendar because your collection day will change if it is a bank holiday. Please see Bin collection dates.

We will not empty your bin if:

  • it is not at the collection point by 7.30am
  • it contains the wrong materials

Please see what materials are allowed in the black bins or brown bins.

Please note: waste alongside your black bin will only be collected if prior arrangements have been made.

Report your missed bin

We may have missed your bin by mistake, for which we apologise. Please report this to us within 24 hours on the next working day after the collection was due, by using the form below.

To report your missed bin you will need:

  • your address details
  • the planned date of your collection

You can now track the progress of your report through registering for our My Account service.
Registering for an account is easy and will allow you to securely access our services 24/7.

What happens next?

We will return to collect your bin within 48 hours. Please leave your bin at the collection point until it is emptied.

If you fail to report your missed bin within 24 hours of your scheduled collection day, unfortunately we will be unable to return. Your bin will be emptied on your next scheduled collection day.
