Our interactive planning pages and Enforcement system will be unavailable from 21 to 28 August 2026 due to a major upgrade. During this time we will be unable to access records, process applications, or respond to many enquiries. Some delays may continue during the week commencing 31 August. Thank you for your patience.
Planning Enforcement Register
The Planning Enforcement Register contains a record of Planning Enforcement Notices issued since 2014. Planning Enforcement Notices control development and changes of use which have been carried out without planning permission, and are considered to be causing immediate and significant harm to the local area or immediate surroundings.
A notice is usually issued to:
- Cease or prevent an unauthorised change of use
- Request the removal of unauthorised building works
- Require development to be altered to make it more acceptable in planning terms
Enforcement Notices can be appealed which may stop the whole process until the outcome of the appeal is known. Once an Enforcement Notice becomes effective it is a criminal offence not to comply with it.
A list of planning enforcement notices from 2014-2023 can be viewed within the document below in a table format. Original copies of each enforcement notice are available to be viewed at the Council's Offices on request.
From January 2024 onwards each enforcement notice will be available to view and download below or a copy can be made available to be viewed at the Council's Offices on request.
