Melton is an exciting and attractive Borough where the Council is successfully balancing its pro-development policies in its Local Plan with the need to maintain its attractive rural, built and historic environment. We are proud of our brand recognition as the Rural Capital of Food.

We are on an exciting improvement journey within the service and are making great strides in how we respond to and communicate with our customers, partners and stakeholders. This role is key to allowing us to continue that improvement through the delivery of a professional, efficient and effective Planning Enforcement service.

We are now looking to appoint someone to join our busy, professional and dedicated Development Management team as a Planning Enforcement Officer . You will carry out the full duties of the post in accordance with the legislative requirements and the Council’s statutory duties, policies and priorities. You will also play a key part in helping us shape the Planning Enforcement Service that will better meet the needs of the Borough’s residents and businesses.

If you are committed to helping us shape and protect our environment in  an ambitious rural Local Planning Authority we would be pleased to hear from you.
